FG Collaborates with ALAT to Digitally Empower 3 Million Nigerians (How to Apply)

In a strategic partnership between the Federal Government of Nigeria and ALAT, Wema Bank’s digital arm, a groundbreaking initiative is set to unfold. The FGN/ALAT Digital Skillnovation Programme for Youth and MSMEs aims to empower three million individuals, bridging the gap in digital skills and fostering access to funding for small businesses.

Program Objectives:

The FGN/ALAT Digital Skillnovation Programme targets two million Nigerian youths and one million Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) nationwide. The goal is to provide essential digital skills, facilitating both career development for individuals and enhanced business capabilities for small enterprises.

Tunde Mabawonku, Executive Director of Retail and Digital Business at Wema Bank, expressed the transformative nature of the initiative. He stated, “The FGN/ALAT Digital Skillnovation Programme is a transformative opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs, job seekers, and professionals across Nigeria.”

Application Process/How to Apply for FG/ALAT Empowerments:

Interested participants are invited today register and apply on:

fg-skillnovation.alat.ng between October 13 and 31, 2023. The program envisions shortlisting participants, followed by the commissioning of FGN-ALAT Digital Skillnovation Hubs across the nation. These hubs will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to create an immersive and conducive learning environment.

Comprehensive Digital Skills:

The initiative offers a comprehensive range of digital skills, covering software engineering, product design and management, business analysis, cloud computing, and more. This diverse curriculum aims to cater to a broad spectrum of digital expertise, empowering participants for success in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Program Launch and Accessibility:

The program was officially launched on September 28, 2023, and is open to all Nigerians eager to develop their digital skills and enhance their business portfolios, not just within the nation but also beyond.
